At the end of the 19th century, Moravia was under Austrian administration. Patriots founded the first purely Czech brewery in 1893: Litovel. Emeritus brewmaster Miroslav Koutek (right) still remembers that day when he first stepped into the brewhouse and marveled at copper kettles and cardinal marble. Award-winning beers are brewed by his successor Petr Kostelecký (left).
